Product Lead (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

A leading global retailer are about to embark on a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation and are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to head up the project. As a Product Lead you will own the D365 implementation, help build out and manage a team to deliver the project, and once delivered work to roll out new modules, improvements and enhancements to the system. The successful candidate should have intimate knowledge Dynamics AX (preferably 2012 R3 or 7), a solid understanding of ecommerce/retail businesses, and should be keen to take ownership of the system in order to ensure its long term success. We are looking for someone who will thrive on this responsibility and care passionately about leveraging the power of D365 to improve and refine business processes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Build and retain a team of in house ERP experts who can deliver the project, and manage the system once delivered
  • Liaise with key project stakeholders to understand their business requirements
  • Provide insight and guidance on best practices and workflows
  • Own and manage the product backlog for D365
  • Prioritise tasks in line with business objectives
  • Act as a facilitator for the development and implementation team, ensuring any obstacles to progress are removed
  • Work closely with 3rd party vendors to ensure successful integrations
  • Write documentation, specifications and test plans
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the project, provide regular status updates to senior staff
  • Be able and willing to bring new ideas to the table

We're looking for:

  • 3+ years commercial experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 R3 or 7) projects
  • Experience delivering ERP implementations for retail, ecommerce, and warehouse operations
  • An expert understanding of Dynamics AX (exposure to D365 would be useful, but not necessary)
  • A technical understanding of 3rd party integrations and API's
  • Experience customising AX
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • An understanding of Agile project delivery would be beneficial
  • An aptitude for creative problem solving
  • Excellent written and spoken English
