SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

CDS Recruitment Ltd have two positions for experienced Sales Account Managers from within the automotive industry, specifically Power Train and Robotics.

Our client is a international business, with over 9000 employees. Providing innovative engineering solutions for over 45 years, covering over 17 countries.They are focusing on innovation of production automation as a full solution, in every phase from design, implementation and installation, production and maintenance services.

The role will Report to: Global Account Executive / UK Director

Based in: Rugby office based with 15 % worth of travel.

Job Description:

This is a challenging and rewarding role ideal for an enthusiastic, sales professional with experience in automation or robotics. The position may also be suitable for a qualified engineer with commercial experience or a desire to develop into a commercial role. The candidate must have a strong commitment to ensuring the needs of our customers are attained and a desire to build relationships with new customers. Working within a capable and enthusiastic team and reporting to the UK Commercial Director, the ideal person will promote the growth of the UK business and the development of new opportunities within and outside the automotive industries sector.

To be successful in this position, the candidate will be confident interacting with customers and colleagues and will continually drive change in an extremely changeable environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary in order to address customer issues and concerns.
Domestic and occasional European travel will be a requirement of this position.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

" Manage and develop existing customer accounts and build strong customer relationship;
" Research client requirements and work with Proposal & Estimating to develop offers;
" Work with the Programs Manager and Project Managers to co-ordinate customer strategy;
" Work with Department Managers to determine correct delivery strategy and cost base;
" Work with Robotics, Powertrain and Standard Products divisions to expand the customer base.
" Support the Company's marketing analysis and marketing plan;
" Understand customer's strategy to aid in developing an approach that aligns the company solutions.
" Understand the customer's business plan and targets. Ensure customer satisfaction;
" Support negotiations on price, costs, delivery, contract and specifications with buyers and managers;

Desired Skills & Experience:

" Experience of automation and/or robotics would be beneficial.
" Able to develop and articulate strategic planning and concepts
" Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility
" Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong Computer Skills
" Preferred Qualification to Degree level in Mechanical/Controls engineering or equivalent
