We have aTechnician Lab Administrationposition available ideally suited to candidates with science A / HNC Level in a relevant scientific discipline.
The position is responsible for performing a range of routine activities to support effective completion of projects and meet the customers contractual agreements. These involve laboratory administration (responsibility for checking of LIMS data during project initiation, reagent and sample disposal and data archiving), general housekeeping activities, basic routine equipment calibration in the pharmaceutical laboratory to GMP quality standards.
Different work patterns apply (early, standard day and later options).
Main Responsibilities:Technical and Operational Efficiently and proactively book in or perform GMP quality checks on incoming projects in the laboratory database system, ensure all required materials are in stock or ordered and correctly storing supplied materials within the laboratory. Provide archival service on behalf of the laboratory in accordance with set procedure Clarify any omissions to required technical details during project submission directly with clients by e-mail or telephone. Monitor expiry / disposal dates of reagents and samples and administer disposal activities as required. Perform routine calibrations and qualifications of basic wet chemistry equipment, such as pipettes and balances under supervision of a senior member of staff, operating basic lab equipment as directed and ensuring a tidy and safe laboratory working environment. Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload and timely/accurate provision of results. Gain necessary competence in the use of the Laboratorys LIMS and Q-Pulse systems. Will be expected to work in different laboratories if the demand is required. Learn and expand on analytical techniques, working as part of an efficient team.Communication & Influence Work as part of an efficient analytical teamQEHS Work to the highest standards of safety and quality by ensuring that appropriate COSHHs, risk assessments and SOPs are read before starting work. Help maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment. Understand and work to the requirements of GMP. Ensure all training records are accurate. Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issues; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.

Candidate Requirements:Knowledge: including education, qualifications and training Education to A / HNC level in a relevant scientific discipline.
